Please Post Pics....
Hey guys! I have a bit of a dilemma. The condensed version of the story is that I did an engine swap and now the new headers are causing my auto shift linkage to keep popping out of the hole of the bracket that's on the frame. My mechanic says that the PO had a manual shift steering column (and it's still there) in my truck, which is what's causing it to do this because the just don't line up/operate the same??? He states that it will continue to do this until I either change out the steering column for an automatic one or install a floor shifter.
I am leaning toward the shifter for economic reasons, if nothing else. I would like for any of you that have aftermarket floorshifter in their trucks to share pics. I like Hurst, B&M, Lokar, etc. And if any of you have another alternative to my problem, don't hesitate to share that, as well. Thanks for the help!! Jesse
