90 Suburban burnt wire loom

I"ve got a real problem with my Suburban.....

It appears that the wire harness that comes up between the firewall and the back of the engine (by the istributor cap) has/had a short in it.

This all started last week when the needle on the oil pressure gauge on the dash started jumping around erratically. It finally stopped in the fully pegged position. Then the battery started to drain while the truck would sit in the driveway for any length of time. I went out today to start looking into this. I turned on the truck, opened the hood, and after a couple of minutes I saw a small fire start in the area of the distributor hold-down. I shut the engine down and disconnected the battery.

There appears to be a couple of wire harness in this same area, so I do not know which one is the culprit. Also, my view of the area is poor due to the location of the harness being between the engine and the firewall and distributor.

Is this a common problem for this year? Any suggestions on how to go about fixing this? Are the wire looms still available through GM? Can anyone send me a wiring diagram?????

Thanks!
