Throttle Linkage Issues

Ok this problem came up in the last couple days and its annoying the hell out of me.When i go to start my truck in the morning and i go to pump the pedal before the truck is started i almost have to stand up on it to get the pedal to move(i didnt or anything dont worry just using that description for emphasis)but if i push the bottom part of the pedal-the end that is closest to the floor it moves fine and once it fires up and is warm the pedal moves fine.if i just push the pedal it has a spot where there is a moment of hesitation then it takes off.if i push it hard the thing stalls out.today after work i go to leave i get in and push the pedal once and it wont start like its flooded or something.let it sit for a few minutes then it starts fine.i think there is something wrong with the linkage or maybe the throttle return springs.i think maybe the linkage is worn out if thats possible or the return springs are weak and causing the throttle to stick open and flood the motor.maybe im wrong but im not the most mechanically inclined person in some areas and just want my truck running good thats all.any tips or help would be well appreciated.thanks guys
