Leaf rear vs. Coil Rear

What's the advantages of either vs. the disadvantages of the other.

I currently have a leaf rear end, and see a lot of people swapping to a coil rear and I don't really understand why.

When you don't know, ask.

I know leaf's are good for hauling, but I am not into a lot of heavy hauling.
I am not going super low, so that's not a big deal. But I do want something that rides and handles nice, so what's going to be my best and most affordable route?
