It the line had a burr where it was flared you can get a small "kink" in te edge that can let some of the fluid escape.

Among the other things it does -- closing the choke increases manifold vacuum. You might want to check for vacuum integrity.

Sweet looking machine! Are you going to fab a top for it or will it be strictly a fair weather cruiser?
