Here are a few pics of the 77. My son did the back yard paint job. Engine is a 2 bolt main, cast crank 454 with Hyper pistons, balanced, 9.89 comp ratio, 2.19 intake, 1.88 exh semi open chamber oval port heads, performer, holley 750 vac sec 3310-3, HEI, crower hyd cam 278H, 278 284 by .515, .527, roller rockers 112 lob center, 108 cl. Headman headers, 3 inch x pipe exhaust, elec fuel pump. Turbo 400 with hd sprag and big direct clutch pack, shift kit rv converter. 12 bolt limited slip 2.71 gears 30 inch tires. Ps/Pb heavy duty 4x2 suspension. The low numercal gears and the torque throw it down the road prety quickly, can easily melt the tires...
Put it on the chasis dyno over christmas and got 496 lf ft torque @ 1550 rpm's 232 hp at 3850...retarded timing on 91 octane.. Yes HP is low, but hp is a function on peak torque and rpm. Had fuel flow problems we think. have installed better fuel pump and bigger lines. Have slated some time next month to try again, will use the Barry grant 1150 off the camaro and run race fuel, also my change to the performer RPM intake...see what it will do then....:
