Aftermarket Throttle Bracket Problems.......

Hey Guys, I am having a problem getting my throttle bracket to work with my new Edelbrock carb/manifold set up and I was wondering what brackets you all may have used. I purchases two Edelbrock brackets, the #8031 and the #8030, I can get the throttle and trans. part of the bracket to work, but am having problems with the cruise control hook-up. I know that Edelbrock makes a bracket #8036, but I don't want to buy yet another bracket if I can get (modify) one of these to work. Any feed back would be greatly appreciated.
