Look at the deal I got! did i over pay?
I know i need pictures...maybe tomorrow
what do you think. did I pay too much I just picked up a 1970 3/4 ton 2wd the bed has a dent in the drivers side but no rust and repairable. the passenger side looks good no rust in or out. inside bed wheel wells are dent/rust free. It has a wood floor or what is left of the wood. doors are fair to good. small but ugly Dent in the hood and grill. no front bumper. 350 auto trans,ac, the glove compartment spec. sheet says something about camper but it's an 8ft bed not super long? what does that mean? good cab corners and floor, rockers just started to rust (original rockers) the bigest problem, there is a pin hole rust hole above the windshield inside and some rust in the channel on the roof of the cab where the chanel turns from above the windshield to the side of the cab. it has silicone in it. in the curve if i open the doors and look up there is rust under the channel where the doors close. but the cab looks good. supports are good and the floor (texas truck in VA)350 smokes a little with 5year old gas in it and wants to flood. When I got the truck i pored a little gas in the carb it started right up. the first time it's been stared in 5 years. I paid 100bucks! no rust in the tailgate on the outside very little inside. no dents around the tail lights. but the cab...humm. I just needed bedsides for my teenage son's truck but do you think this is more of a keeper for myself? I could swap the doors and bed then sell it. or keep it. HUMMM breaks suck but low of fluid the linkage is messed up drive doesn't read drive and it's hard to move the shifter lever. seat is trashed but foam and springs feel good. will the bedsides from the wood floor bed work on my sons steel floor bed? I haven't had time to compair i just got it and i don't keep the trucks at my house. |
