73-87 V belt setups

I have a 77 with the huge Harrison log compressor. I recently took it off because the system had no freon left and my valves were in desperate need of adjustment. Removing that valve cover with the compressor in place would not be possible.

I'm now seeking a belt/accessory setup that's going to give me plenty of clearance to run a tall valve covers and take them off at any time with ease. I know an early 90's serpentine setup will give me this, but it just wouldn't be cost effective at this time unless I got an extremely good deal on it.

What about the short/fat A6 compressor from the 80's ? I've seen some trucks that use this compressor with a V-belt setup. Does this compressor and bracket setup interchange with the 70's V belt setup ? Will the brackets/compressor/lines obstruct the valve covers in any way ?
