I Can't Believe It's Mine!

Hello from Michigan! First of all, awesome website!! I have been in love with 67-72 Chevy trucks since I first laid eyes on my uncles '72, when I was a youngin. A green and white 2 wheel drive longbox. He is, was, the original owner. I remember camping with my aunt and uncle (and the truck), visiting the truck in Arizona, and everytime he came back to Michigan (with the truck) my brother and I would just drool all over it and say, "one day we will have a truck just like uncle Ray's!! And everytime we saw him we would ask him if he was ready to sell it yet, "no" always being the answer. So when my dad called me late one night a couple of months ago and told me uncle Ray was selling his truck I was happy for my older brother who had "first dibs". Unfortunately he had to pass since he had just moved into his new house and building a pole barn with a new tractor on the way. My "problem" was that I just bought my dream car last winter. A 66 caprice, 396 w/4spd and all matching! So I told the wife I am NOT letting this truck go, I've been waiting my whole life for this. I was ready to sell the car but she said just buy it! SWEET!!
The truck was in Michigan for only one winter (thank God!) then Arizona, Turkey (yes Turkey! he shipped it over when he was stationed there), Texas and finally Wyoming where it's at now. When he moved to Wyoming he bought a 4X4 '72 and swapped his body onto it so he could haul his Scout up the mountains to hunt. Then he put 3/4 ton axles under it. It has a 350 with a 4 spd tranny and 4:10 gears. It has the original paint, except for hood and roof which was faded from being in Arizona for years. It has minor rust and a small dent on the passenger side. Since it's in Wyoming and I am in Michigan I have a little drive ahead of me, 4:10 gears no A/C! I wanted to fly out the day after I bought it, 2 months ago! But she talked me into waiting until we go to Vegas for a wedding in 2 weeks, then jogging over to wyoming and driving back. It has been a ***** waiting these 2 months but I've been waiting my whole life so what the hell!
Sorry for the , as you can probably tell I'm a little EXCITED! I will have pictures in about 3 weeks when I get back home. My uncle doesn't have email, so no pictures. I will also try to find some pictures from the old camping trips and visits to AZ. Only 2 more weeks!!!!
