My Dad
Well I have been doing some digging and found a couple of pictures I hope you all like.
A little background first. My Dad worked as the warranty rep for a while then went to the GM instructor at the Eastway BLVD. GM school in Charlotte. He then moved into the Fleet sales of trucks where he retired. He had almost 32 years with them. Here is a couple of pictures with a very special camper to most of us on here. The picture was took in June of 1969 at Evertt Chevorlet in Hickory NC. This is where most of his cars and trucks were serviced back then. We spent 4 weeks traveling in it after the promotional show at Evertt's. I slept in the front seat of it almost the whole time at night. The little scooter went with us also, it was given to my dad after the show for selling the most trucks at the show. This next picture was taken in June of 1972 in our drive way in Charlotte on Rocky Falls RD. You can see the truck in the background. I found these this past week while spending sometime with them in Conover and when I saw these I had to have them. I remember that camper trip like it was yesterday. ![]()
