Dual Master - manual disc/drum

62 c10, I've got front disc, rear drum, and putting in a new manual dual master from a 76 GM. Ok, so I read this very informative thread about dual masters.

Question is: Can I just plug the rear brake line at the master, and just run the front brakes temporarily? (I don't have a prop valve) I need to do some more plumbing for the rear brakes, and want to have enough brakes to be able to back it out of the garage and load on the trailer etc.
