"K" case transmissions
This might be better in the Engine/Tranny forum but I'll start here.
I've heard of "K" case transmissions before but not sure what the differences are. I was pulling the bad tranny (700r4) out of my '86 shortbed 4x4 today and noticed it has a "K" cast into the case near the front, on the driver side. It also has a tag that says "Remanufactured for GM". I was going to have this one rebuilt eventually and put in my long bed. Just wondering if I lucked out and found something real nice. It does need a rebuild though...
