plastic that runs under the wipers

Let me start with what I have. It’s a 02 Silverado ext 4 door. My question is referring to the plastic that runs under the wipers that you can see between the hood and the glass was black and is now turning like a bluish color. Any idea as to how to get it back to black with out replacing or painting it? Or are those my only option and if so what would you recommend?
