Haven't been on in a while, It's Ray here. The Bonanza is coming along nicely. Mechanically, runs like a dream. with never ending electrical issues. Ie: Instument cluster lights don't work, just the gauge ones, heater lights, wiper lights, all that functional. And the fuel lines are all tied up, just needing a sender to finish it all off, after hours of rewiring. It came down to a potentionmeter test to the senders, to see it wasn't working, also no resistance on an ohmeter, but wiring checks out. In my streetrod class at Wyotech, I cut it up and welded various patch panels, alot of them were fabricated, some of the LMC Truck panels were a little disappointing, and some of them I just fabricated on them. ran out of time in the class, needed a new inner door, speakers molested it, rusted through on the inside, so I bought some doors off an 80 something blazer, and found a near perfect noncreased hood off of a 79, the tacky olive green, so it's a Frankenstein.
Back in Mad Town Wisconney, looking for work. so the trucks just been crawling away into a snow mound. Two wheel drive with a 3/4 ton axle already got me stuck a couple of times. was looking at a 84 Silverado four wheel drive shorty. I think the Bonanza was growling at me while I looked at it,
like a married man looking at a beautiful woman.
Gotta buddy stoked to help me on it, so it's good. But he's got vintage Chevies, a 45 Cabriolet, might be working on that one more. One of three left I do believe
Pics soon, working on a portfolio... end of the week, maybe
