Question 14BFF Bath

Would it hurt if I totally stripped down my 14BFF and had it acid dipped?

To clean all the grime on the inside and paint-layers on the outside.

When I bought my '72 Blazer 18 months ago the 14B came with it and the previous owner said the rig's been sitting for a couple of years. So I don't know what the condition it's in so I figured I'd start from scratch and totally rebuild it.

Any and all opinions, advise, etc. is welcome.

Thanks !!
