6 cylinder offset air cleaner - different?
I got this from a 71 blazer(?) - This is the stove and pipe for the offset aircleaner.
I have the first mount on (shiny black piece bolted on) - I tried to show in the pics, the area where I have no clearance to match the housing up with that bracket. The corner to the rear of the engine, against the choke housing area is square and looks like it needs to be angled or rounded to fit. There is also a slot and circle in the stove box that looks like clearance for an auto choke rod that would run between the manifold and the block but my choke is on the manifold. Is there a chance my intake is NOT a 72??? I know the PO but he made no mention of the engine ever being swapped... that said, the valve cover and block are blue, the intake is orange and of course, no color on the exhaust. Can anyone tell me what I have? Much appreciated.
