My 1972 Super Cheyenne is having trouble starting and staying running. The best I can get it to do is to crank just fine only to sputter out after 15 seconds or so. The only way I can do this is AFTER pouring gasoline into the carb and into the "bowl reservoir"... because someone told me that it could be empty.
I've checked the fuel line and it is pumping fuel just fine. I've checked the spark plugs and they are getting spark. The only thing left is to see if the fuel filter is clogged or bad, which I haven't done yet. I think it's been a year or so since I last checked it. Could it be this or is the remanufactured QuadraJet finally gone bad?
