Howdy and Good News
Well I have not been on this site for some time now, but I am proud to announce that after a couple of years not working on my truck I am making a triumphant return. I am currently onsite working for my company in east-central Pennsylvania. I am having my truck shipped from Iowa out to here. I should arrive around February 12 and will begin disassembling it on the following week. My friend and I are gong to strip it down to a rolling chassis and hand it off to the body shop. There the Blazer will be cleaned off, sand blasted down, rockers fixed, dents evened out, frame painted, body straightened, new door hardware, and body mounts.
I realize that this might be cheating a bit, but I feel much more comfortable doing all the mechanical work than the body work. I am saving a good bit of money by un-assembling the truck my self and this way I might get it to actually drive it this summer. This will also allow me to replace the old wires with a painless wiring kit and hopefully solve all those grounding. After buying my first blazer as a 17 year old, I am stoked that I will finally have a daily driver that I can be proud of and depend on. Here are a couple of before pics, hopefully I can keep up with this thread |
