69 C-10 I am looking at. What's a fair price?
I am looking for a truck to build this summer and I found this truck about 20 mins from me. I went and looked at it last weekend and it looks like a solid truck. The bed floor will have to go because of rust around the edges and the rockers will need to be replaced along with a small section of the cab floor, but other than that it seems to be in pretty good shape. All the body panels are in good shape. Didn't "notice" any bondo or bubbling anywhere. I tapped around the body and everything felt solid.
The 305 in it runs, although I haven't heard it fired up yet. It has power steering and brakes. It was listed on ebay for $900 and had 0 bids, but I think that was just because of the mulitcolored appearance. The last one of these trucks I bought was a 67 stepside 15 years ago (wow, I am getting old) so I am a little out of touch with prices. The guy seems super nice on the phone and I want to be fair. What's a fair price for this truck? P.S. This guy has about 10 of these trucks, plus a bunch of parts and body panels, setting in his backyard. If anyone is close shoot me a PM and I'll get you his number. He's located near the TN/KY State line on I-65 north of Nashville,TN and south of Bowling Green, Ky. |
