Rear disc brake issues

A couple years ago I bought a rear disc kit from Master Power( never again)
I got parts i couldn't use, had to have the rotors machined etc, etc.
The problem is that every once in awhile the pads keep rubbing after braking and going around a corner. Its a pretty embarassing sound.Looking in the FAQ's one solution might be to eliminate my c-clips, eliminating side to side play. Any other ideas? I'm ready to start another kit if I have to.Thanks !
