Thumbs up meeting members... and props to a member

So I met another board member last weekend...69ShortStep... Shawn.
First... the story;
CG had some drop lower a arms on the parts board. I saw them and was drooling over them, and made a comment on how I'd like to have them but didn't have the money... givin him a bump more than anything. Well, Shawn was scanning the parts board, and read that. That's when he whipped up a PM and sent it to me...

Hey,

I saw that you were interested in CG's thread. A few years back a got a pair off of ebay. I had trouble pressing a new ball joint into the right dropped A-Arm, left A-Arm was fine. It could have been my lack of experience. I eventually just bought some drop spindles. If you would like to try them out first to see if they work for you, I work in Groveport and Downtown and could bring them to work with me.

Let me know,
Shawn
(phone number deleted for obviouse reasons

I called him instantly upon reading this... and he told me... I couldn't make them work. If you want to meet me 1/2 way between your place and my place... I'll give them to you.If you can make them work, then toss me $25 to become a subscribing member... if not, then toss them in the scrap pile.

We meet up in Canal Winchester... few miles southeast of columbus. I'm sittin there in my clapped out longhorn,a nd he shows up in this sweet ass short step (one of my many dream rigs)
inline 6 with power brakes and power steering! NICE!

LOVE the way it sits!

Still not done... but still a sweet truck

and the dropped a arms;

I have some new ball joints, probably gonna get them in there begining of next week. Was going to do it today, but just didn't feel like going back in and dealing with the bosshole.

To Shawn... thank you again...and I haven't forgotten to look through the schematics for you... probably this weekend. With the 'white death' they are callin for, I'll either be out sledding, or boared outta my mind inside.

To everyone else... another kick ass member... who happens to be a very quiet lurker.
