JEEP ELECTRIC FAN info.....

well i just came off a 800 mile road trip and tested my ( jeep ) electric fan out. spec,s. on my truck first.
250 I-6 engine all stock except .040 over bore
3 speed manuel trans
3.73 rear end ratio
28" tall rear tires
new 3 core radiator
160 degree thermostat

speed i cruised at 62-65 mph
1/2 OF ALL MILES WAS HAULING 1400-1500 LBS

fuel milage went up from 11.25 to 13.2 average mpg
i pulled several mountains in tn.,ky., & va. temp went to 190 degrees then i turnned fan on manuelly, i believe it WILL NOT cool the engine if outside air temp is in 80,s and up temps. i also think the stock GM fan schroud is not allowing air to pass thru when at cruzing speed freely. i believe i,am going to install a double fan setup with no schroud also i,am going to a 4 core rad.
this is just my spreience. this will definatly NOT cool a hopped up sbc and definatly not a big block engine so dont waste your time or money try,in it. IMO
BOB
