Drum Brake Rebuild
Without enough money to spend on a disc upgrade, it looks like I'm going to need to rebuild my drum brakes (all 4 corners) on my '69. I've never tried to rebuild drums (all those springs and levers and such look intimidating) but I do consider myself reasonably competent. How difficult is it for a first-timer? I do know that most of the components and maybe even the drums need to be replaced. Would it be wise to find a shop that will let me supply the parts while they supply the labor? I figure I could save some money by ordering the parts from GMCPaul or another parts supplier. Is this a good idea?
