leave it stock or relocate?

Need some advice. I'm building a 67 SWB fleetside and I'm have trouble deciding on the gas tank. The cab is still getting metal work done and they already covered the gas filler hole. It only cost $20 for them to do it. I'm wondering if I should undo the work and leave the tank behind the seat or continue the started thoughts of relocating it. I have a rear poly tank kit I picked up for $150, but I'm not happy with the ground clearance. I lowered the rear of my truck 5" and the tank way too close to the ground. I have a really nice steel floor bed I don't want to cut to add a filler. Cost wise it seems a lot cheaper to leave it behind the seat and loose the $20.

Any thoughts?
