Fuel Filler Dilemma...help?
I'm having trouble deciding which fuel filler to go with my blazer tank swap.
The gas cap on my in-cab tank blows fuel on to my new paint (also its not helping my mpg's!). Plus with the in-cab space I'll gain by removing the stock tank I won't "have" to buy a truck box to haul my gear. Plus whenever I fill it up, I stink like fuel the rest of the day. Basically the in-cab has got to go!!! I picked up a blazer tank from a guy in Washougal for $40 last night and now I need to decide how I am guy to setup my fuel filler. Since I have a '67 (and thus no side indicator lights) the easy solution is not going to work. The tail light filler mod looks like a PITA and just putting the filler in the bed seems really weird to me. So far the most promising idea I have come up with is to buy one of these:http://www.automotiveconcepts.net/st...medium=organic and cut a hole in the side of my bed. My job is sending me to San Jose for a week so I've got a few days to think about it. Would anyone like to chime in and give me their opinion? |
