Seatbelt color

The seat belts that came with my truck are tan, but I'm going all black and gray with a little burgundy for the interior of my steed.

I have used vinyl and fabric spray dye for a lot of stuff, but am nervous about using it on a belt that will be in close contact to me and my clothes.

Has anyone tried this approach before? Or am i better off just looking for a set of belts at the salvage yard?
