Converting To A Leaf Springs

I have a 67 chevy 1/2 ton w/ coil springs. The trailing arms aren't in the greatest shape. I have leaf springs and the leaf spring brackets from a 71 gmc 1/2 ton. I was wondering if any one had any idea how to be able to set this up. Also why I have someone reading this, if you would know if using only the trans crossmember and just the front engine mounts is good enough to run on a manual transmission? The manual transmission trucks usually have a bell housing mount crossmember.
