New plan

This may belong in another forum, but here's the skinny...

We're gonna cut the windshield posts where I've indicated (in white) and then cut the floorpan where the rise starts on the floor, just ahead of the seat mounting bolt holes. The donor cab is also an air cab, that was hit hard in the rear, even though it's been repaired. My buddy says he fits everything together to achieve a 1/8-inch gap. It's gonna be better than new, if he does. I've been watching him the past week, while he fabricates pieces for a '54 Ford F-100...pieces that you can't buy. He starts with a sheet of steel, and goes to work. Cutting, fitting, bending, planishing, rolling....whatever it takes. He's like a bulldog on this stuff. He also told me he has a couple of tilt columns, at least two tachs and "other" stuff. Gonna see what he wants to shed....we've been doing some "trading" of parts, so maybe I can score a couple of goodies....

Time = money, right? Anyway, whatchathink of the idea?
