Going to the Dyno at 6:00 (sure I'll be dissapointed)
O.K. so many of you know I drive a yellow '47 International every day to work and various shoots, however, it is time to beef up the old 310-incher with some hot new parts, mainly because I am in a HP race at work, (number envy, its a long story.)
So editor Tommy Lee is packing a '64 Corvette with a Dart headed 350, it makes about 287 horsepower at the rear wheels (dynoed) The yellow IH is packing a 305ho that is punched out to 310 cubic inches (0.030 overbore, Comp 440 lift cam, 10.5 to 1 flat tops and iron 58cc heads. Edelbrock intake and a 500cfm carb. I am taking it down the street today to get a baseline number. I am going to install a set of High Velocity Heads, sbc aluminum heads, 175cc intake runners, 2.02/1.60 valves and beehive springs along with a new vortec style manifold and a Holley 650cfm carb. Hopeing to at least get 200 the first go around, but we will have to wait and see. I'll be sure to post the results in the morning.
