Help with steering box needed..

I picked up one of those steel plates with spacers so that I could mount a newer style gearbox to my 68 K-10. Of course it has no hardware and no instructions. The tapped holes are 7/16" fine thread and my steering box is course thread. I can fix that I think. Problem is that I don't know the correct angle since my cab is off. If I line it up where it belongs (or seems too) then it's hitting leaf spring at full left turn. I might have to get creative and make new holes to get the proper location and angle.

Does anyone have good pics of this area on their K truck? know the angle of the gearbox? thanks...
