Re: T-5 in a '72 C-10?

I have made this swap. I run a T5 in my 327 68 truck. Original bell housing, clutch, and linkage all fit. I run the 88 Camaro-T/A version because it is a World Class and strongest of the T5. Bolts right up. No tranny brace. The input spline is fine (26 ct.) grooves. I had the shop put a S-10 top shifter plate and rear tailhousing on to move the shifter forward. I run a bench seat with NO interference problems. A shortened drive shaft and you are done. OBTW you will have to change the speedo gears to get your speedo to work correctly. I used the camaro 0-85 speedo gears and used the white face vinyl covers on all my guages and had my speedo a 0-85 markings. Very accurate. Please reply or private message with any other questions. I'll be happy to help.
