Cleanin' up the battery box...
Well, I figured since I had the battery out and the generator is off to get rebuilt, it was a good time to clean up the battery box.
I found some older paint under the pass. side radiator support cover that indicated this truck has seen a couple paint jobs over the last 48 years. I knew the original color was the forest green because it is elsewhere. I thought that it was that color until it's recent paint job but it looks like it may have been painted a darker blue at one time... Anyways, the battery box is in pretty decent shape, but I'm curious about the bolts I took out. Look how shiny some are, do you think they could still be shiny from 48 years ago? This truck is all original and numbers matching and only has 82,000 miles on it. It just seems odd that they are that shiny. The are definitely factory style bolts though...
