1 Ton Axle & Crossover steering inspection?
I need a little help.
I'm looking to purchase D60/14bff axles this weekend. What problems should I be looking for? The axles are out of a CUCV so they have 4:56 gears and the rear has a detroit locker. The D60 recently was installed in a '68 and the guy has a high steer/crossover steering kit he would sell seperately. I am putting the axles under my '72 so everything should just bolt right in. He says he'd consider $250 for the everything including the steering box, pitman, etc... I know they are 4-500 new, is this a fair price for used and what problems should I look for with this? Thanks for the help!
