New Guy

Hello from Nebraska. Great forum. I've already found great information about crossmember swaps. I acquired my C10 from my grandfather around '92 while I was still in high school. The rebuilt 283 and fresh paint made for a great daily driver. Several years ago I added power steering. I eventually want to swap in a later crossmember to gain disks, and matching 5-lug rear axles, as well as relocate the fuel tank. The bed also needs a new floor. Would anyone cringe if I opted for a steel floor, instead of installing new wood...? These are all long-term goals. In the short term my priorities are to my wife and young daugher (15 mo.), who are the most wonderful parts of my life.
Thanks again for the great forum. I'm looking forward to working on my pickup as time and budget allow, but don't expect too much from me anytime soon.
I'll try to get a better pic up sometime.
