I'm taking mine off using my tractor with a 3 point lift. Sort of like the engine hoist. I like the idea of the chain or the 2X4 for the cheapest way to do it.

The chain is good if it's painted and you don't want to put any nicks on it. You can also adjust the lenth accordingly to balance it that way. And I like the 2X4 method for stability but I think I would double up on the wood.

But, I sure thought the cab weighed more than 200 lbs. -even stripped. My little nephew weighs more than that.
