1978 Chevy Big 10 wipers
Hello,
I'm new to trucks, this is my first one. I haven't driven a car this old for a while, so when the wipers didn't park in the home position when I turned them off, I just thought it was because they were not made to. I now think that is wrong (I'm sure you all new this). My truck didn't have intermittent position, so I bought (on ebay) an intermittent switch with the module. After swiping the switches etc, the wipers work, the washer works, but in intermittent the wipers work just like slow (position 1) on my old switch. The wipers still do not park by the cowling either. I thought maybe the switch from ebay was bad but now I think the intermittent doesn't work because the wipers don't/didn't park at the home position before? I could use some help on this. Would cleaning the contacts resolve it, or is there some other reason the wipers don't park (no matter which switch I use) and so the intermittent function doesn't work. Sorry this is so long. Thanks everyone. Dave |
