LWB on SWB Stepside Frame?

I have the opportunity to pickup a 68' SWB stepper cheap and was thinking of using it to converty my 68' LWB to a SWB. Not sure if I'll keep the bed, shorten mine or find a short box. I like the look of the short fleet over a stepper. The SWB has a 6 banger and mine a 396. Will the 68' body transfer over without major issues? I know I will have to shorten the drive shaft and change the motor mounts. Anything I should consider? My guess is it shouldn't be a problem but this is my first real project and want to make sure I get it right.
