Re: The lowrider left me stranded today!

UPDATE: Found the problem, finally!

I finally got the time to take truck to the shop and get it up on a lift.

We started looking for wiring problems first. We found the fuel pump wiring harness on the left side had fallen down on top of the muffler and welded itself to it. Everytime, I'd put a fuse in, it'd blow. So, 1 problem solved.

Started the truck and got it up to temp. Revved it a couple times and blew the circuit again. Chased harness, no other problems noted. Fuel pump is bad as it pulls major amps and blows circuit in the process.

Installed a new Holley HiPerf manual pump on the block without the regulator. Pulls 12lbs of pressure through the existing electrical pump still in the tank. Had to put the regulator back in line and regulate the pressure back down to 5-7 lbs for the carb.

Runs like a champ!
