Question Hotwheel customizers , I have ????'s

I am going to start playing around with customizing Hotwheels and other diecast cars and trucks. My questions are .....
How do you strip the paint ? Should I just use paint stripper or are there other methods ? Is it easier to separate the body from the chassis ? Anyone use an air eraser ? I just got a basic airbrush kit , any suggestions on paint ? I welcome all suggestions/tips on customizing these cars/trucks. Thanks Dan

I have found another site where this is cheaper but this is a better pic.
