Organize your parts,... NOS parts found (in my own house!)
I know some of you guys are parts collectors like myself.
A while back I posted a thread looking for a nice non-A/C heater control for my '69 swb. Well guess what I found today. I don't even remember where or when I got it. It said $25 on the box. I said, "That's it,... time to get organized!" I have been collecting parts for 25+ years for all kinds of 67-87 trucks. I usually buy stuff I don't need right away, because the price was too good to pass up. When I moved into my house 13 years ago,... I built some 2x4 shelves to neatly organize everything. I guess I've bought a few parts since then. Ha. I recently have been ordering small parts for my '69. Well today I bet I found half of what I needed,... in my disorganized shelving. I had purchased some shelving at Home Depot, to equip an empty extra bedroom into parts storage room. I know it still looks like a mess,... but now I can find stuff. I think the shelves are about $40 each and are 3' wide x 6' tall x 18" deep. They work great and will hold a ton of stuff.
