Lowering body mounts.

in reference to a '68 1/2 ton.
Unless I missed the thread, there hasnt been a cut & dried answer on lowering the body mounts. Ive heard(before)1" will put your rockers on the ground. Is that pinch weld or is that w/pinch removed?
Im looking to get it as low as I can w/o touching pavement to body.

I understand where the trimming will need to be done to cab and core support area, just need a reference point of drop to work off of. Thanks for any info.
