90's frame\suspension\axles
I have been looking at converting to 1\2 ton axles and suspension, however i can get a newer (90's) complete chevy truck for less than i can buy the parts from the junkyard. Has anyone ever put a 67-72 body on a late model frame? Its a big project, but im going to have to take the body off to do the air ride anyway, as long as the wheel base is the same it should work right? It would be nice to have the IFS, and power disc brakes. It would also be nice to work on the frame little by little, getting the air ride ready while still driving the burb.
I have also found a few 70's c10s complete for about the same as the junkyard axles, brakes, and suspension would cost, would i be better off just buying a c10 and converting what I have and selling the left overs? Any help is greatly appreciated!!
