my 61 GMC 4000

this one kind of fell in our lap...
cost was $400 total(100 of that was the tow!)
It is a really neat truck, it is an old southern pacific railroad truck. it has a 351, but the guy told me it threw a rod.
the lift gate works , and the tires are new.
the cab is pretty much shot, I found some tin/bondo repairs on the roof above both doors, and the rest of the cab has the usual rust.
however the hood is decent, the rear brace has some rust, but not too hard a fix for me, the driver door is real good, and the passenger door is ok.

The main reason we got it, was that my dad needed a storage shed... the box will be perfect for that, and aside from my nutty fixation with all things 60-66, it does have a good winshield (I am collecting these in anticipation of needing a few for the chop on my 61). I have some crazy ideas for the front clip too.....

unfortunately it isn't saveable-no title, bad motor, bad cab-,so we will end up parting it out, I will save all the good 60-66 stuff, dad gets the box , and the rest he will try to scrap/or get rid of locally.

It has lots of neat stuff that I will try to document, it says cab lights scrawled across the firewall in grease pencil, and the lights look to be the original GMC accessories. there is a cool data plate on the inside of the glove box door, and a few other things.
heres the pics so far:
