Question Removing Trim on 87 Silverado

Hey guys am new to the fourm and just got a 87 silverado it needs some work a little rust on the hood but i first want to remove the trim and sand that rust off and was wondering how hard is it to remove the trim. I know you take the trim off fill the holes and sand then paint but need to know is this a at home project and what products should i use to fill the holes thanks plan to post some pics soon
