replacing a 4wd 700r4

I am going to be replacing a 4wd 700r4 in my brothers truck in a few weeks and am needing some pointers. The truck is an 87 silverado 4wd LWB. I have pulled a few motors and transmissions but never put one back in I know the basics on just putting everything back were it came but I dont want to have to pull it back out to fix a leak. so some pointers to make sure everything goes smooth would be great. thanks guys, I usually hang out on the 47 forums but Im sure you guys are just as helpfull
