Craigslist find for John H.

I have been looking for a Jimmy or Blazer for a couple years and patience paid off. There was an ad on Seattle Craigslist for a 72 Jimmy Father son project that stalled. It kept coming down in price and the rig was over two hours away at the owners second home in Port Angeles. Well I felt he was just wanting to get rid of it so I listened to what he had and without insulting him, I said. "what do you want for it." He said four numbers so I emailed him $1000. A couple weeks later I did not hear from him so I called and he said no problem it was mine and he was busy so he did not call me back. The bonus out of this was he drove it from Port Angeles about three hours to Sammamish three miles from my house!

Sight unseen I was a little nervous, but it is all working out.

Repro parts he gave with it in the box:
Complete grill/topbar/headlight and eyebrow pieces in the box,
front two inner front fenders
F/R chrome bumpers
GMC hood letters
front bumper brackets

I figured about $1100 in LMC prices

Anyway, it also had a 6" soft ride Tuff country lift and new chrome wheels and tires. I have since sold $650 in parts off it and I am off to a great start.

Here are the pics with the lift.

It has the original seats and a single wall top. The best part is it was originally from AZ so the rust is very little.

Today I cut out the repro floor that was poorly installed. I was surprised how nice the cab support and inner rockers are. It still needs work, but the repro rockers must come off so it can be done correctly.

Here are some pics. I am painting it back blue with probably a black interior and maybe a white top.
