Hello from North East Texas

Hello all. Figured that I would give a little introduction about myself. My name is James I live about 65 miles North East of Dallas, Tx. I have a 1982 Chevy C-10 Short bed that originally had a 305/700R combo. My Granddad bought the almost new (2 months and less than 500 miles) in 1982 and used it as a farm truck for many years. I first started driving at 13 in this truck. Granddad and I had planned to restore it my senior year of high school and make it a Sunday driver but he got cancer and died within the year. I bought it from my grandmother and have been working on it since. Several engines and transmissions later I am in the final stages of swapping in a 388 small block, Um, I mean a 305 with a RV cam . I have already leaned a lot from the site and hope to be able to offer a little help in return. Thanks for the great website.
