ACC carpet review and install
Carpet review 11/16/2009
Brand: ACC Carpet Purchased: 12/30/2008 From: Rockauto.com (dropshipped from ACC) Color: Medium Doeskin cutpile Year: 1976 2wd regular cab with auto tranny low hump Remove kick panels, 4 bolts and seat, 4 bolts for seat belts. I removed the old carpet and nasty padding underneath. The ACC carpet comes with padding glued on only in the foot well and tranny hump, none under the seat. ACC carpet covers from the firewall all the way to the back wall of the cab. I only had to trim on the sides and cut the holes for the seat and belt bolts. For those with a headlight dimmer switch on the floor, a hole needs to be cut. ACC supplies a plastic grommet. The carpet has vinyl stitched to the sides towards the front. It seem to be a bit too wide but I was able to place the kick panels over to hide the excess carpet since I did not want to cut the stitching off. The fit is pretty good, but a bit loose toward the firewall over the tranny hump. The footmat under the pedals seems a bit too far left. Overall I am please with the color and look of this carpet.
