Yeah. Same in Pima County, only the testing criteria isn't so strict. They don't look under our hoods. They don't care about obsolete equipment like A.I.R. You just have to blow clean on the CO and HC emissions.
I also heard with the antique plates, you are limited to a few thousand miles a year. Not sure how they can enforce that. Possibly the same with the vintage plates.
I have a '69 - '72 AZ bright yellow plate. [I think it was off my Dad's '64 Olds wagon, now long gone.] But I think it would cost more to get a "new" old plate that it does to continue with my normal dark red and white.
